You know those fleeting moments when you feel unexpectedly more alive?
It might happen while walking in nature, listening to music, watching stars fall or becoming completely absorbed in making something with your hands. The voice in your head stops talking. You're fully present. You feel a part of something so much larger. But then, the moment passes. Have you ever wondered if these moments have a meaning you might be overlooking? I'm convinced they're showing us another way of being. |
Create instead of analyze.
|
Insight rarely arrives through analysis. It happens more frequently when we become more receptive to what life is giving us.
Think of it like this: Logic is like a flashlight, but creativity invites receptivity. And receptivity is like a radio. Logic illuminates what's directly in front of you, but receptivity allows you to tune into signals the thinking mind doesn't recognize. That's why creative practices can be so powerful. The materials aren't as important as the presence we bring to what we're doing. Mental chatter stops, we settle down, and in those precious moments, we start to feel the possibilities of an open space in which to think, feel and live. |
We already have what we need
|
Many of us have been searching for years to find a way that would make us feel more alive again. We take workshops, go on retreats, practice breathwork or yoga.
What if we've overlooked something that happens when we make something with our hands and we're in flow? It's during these times that "making" expands our sense contentment, connection and possibility. |
