That's what I'm seeing more and more.</font><br /><br /><font size="4">I've noticed that when I'm up in my head I get so preoccupied that I don't see the surprise and the delight and the beauty that's all around me.</font><br /><br /><font size="4">&#8203;Something waiting for me to notice it so it can reach out and make me smile and shift my sense of life.</font><br /><br /><font size="4">Something that breaks the spell of autopilot or responding out of habit rather than presence.</font><br /><br /><font size="4">I'm guessing most everybody knows what it means to come back to yourself. For me, it means intentionally moving my attention away from the interminable thoughts that I can so easily get lost in and then I forget what's already available to me.</font><br /><br /><font size="4">Right under my nose.</font><br /><br /><font size="4">And when I&nbsp;</font><em style="font-size: large;">am</em><font size="4">&nbsp;open to taking those moments to stop and notice what else is here, right in front of me, waiting to show me what else is possible,</font><br /><br /><font size="4">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;~ my state of mind unlocks,</font><br /><font size="4">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;~ my breathing softens,</font><br /><font size="4">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;~ my eyes lose that tight focus born from being on high alert,</font><br /><font size="4">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;~ I feel my heart beating,&nbsp;</font><font size="4">my chest moving in and out with the breath,</font><br /><font size="4">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;~ I think more clearly, my body relaxes, and I see new possibilities.</font><br /><font size="4">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;~ and I notice with gratitude that I can actually be at rest wherever I am.</font><br /><font size="4">&#8203;</font></font><font color="#2a2a2a"><br /><font size="4">Who wouldn't want that?</font></font></div>]]></content:encoded></item></channel></rss>
